I went to AJET: Australasian Journal of Educational Technology's Home Page today to look up an online copy of a paper in the latest edition of the journal.
What I wanted to do was look at the paper copy I have but have the computer read the text to me using a screen reader. I have discovered that having aural input to what I see visually is really helpful in retaining what I read.
Any way to cut to the chase I found that although I am a member I can't get access to the latest issue as I can't remember my username and password. Is anyone else really fed up with not only have a purse full of different pieces of plastic, but also having too many usernames/passwords. Can't someone come up with a better system? I personally long for iris scanning or some such to become standard.

Richard Mayer, has a theory (theory of multi-media) to explain this concept. Have you read his book or numerous papers on the subject?
