"ITPNZ is pleased to host eFest 2006 - Moving Learning. The conference is set to highlight and inform the education sector of issues, trends and developments in eLearning. This major event for tertiary education in New Zealand will be held at the Wellington Festival and Convention Centre (Wellington Town Hall) on 27-29 September 2006.

The theme of eFest 2006 is “Moving Learning” as we are now entering an era where the notion of lifelong learning, anytime, anyplace, anywhere is truly coming of age. The mobility of technology together with the combined expertise of media, communications and education is progressing the knowledge economy like never before, and it is through partnerships between business and education that we will start to realise the full potential of these exciting developments. Together, our challenge is to prepare a society where access to learning is ubiquitous, skills are transferable, and technologies both interoperable and portable. "
