Does blogging encourage plagiarism?

I was doing some research today following a session I did with staff on Blogging. One issue came up about whether blogging encourages plagiarism. A quick search on Google led me to a few sites about Sean-Paul Kelley aka the Agonist who got caught plagiarising from Stratfor.com. There are a 150 sites indexed by Google on his plagiarism.

Personally I don't think it encourages plagiarism any more then any other medium. I fact it is quite easy in most blog software to make a link so it's probably easier than formal writing where you need to put citations in a particular format. Should actually be an easy introduction for students on how to attribute what you read.
